By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com Watching ole Charlton Heston (damn, he’s good) play Moses in that movie, “The Ten Commandments.” A movie I’ve seen so many times since I was a kid. I’ve always liked it, only now it’s a blessing that I no longer feel even a hint of fear in watching it, unlike when I was a bible-pounding kid. I see it so differently now…
That line jumped out at me that the Pharaoh spoke. He was angry that “the slave’s god” was clearly kicking their god’s ass, lol ;) And to his priests or whatever, he angrily said something like, “You created the gods — to play upon the fear of the people.” Indeed, all “gods” are fabricated for this reason. That’s probably the best and most telling line of the movie.
Sitting here watching this, good-gawd, no wonder most people are so horrified of “God.” Another line that got me, Moses telling his former love that he couldn’t save her child (firstborn of the Pharaoh) because he was “nothing without God.” Again, no wonder with such things spoken in this type of movie — watching it over and over, year after year (more people watching it than reading the bible) — no wonder we are so self-loathing. No wonder our world looks the way it does, no wonder we endeavor to destroy it, ourselves. We believe we are nothing. So sad.
It’s all so misconstrued, twisted around into BS — “to play upon the fear of the people.” No, Moses is nothing without “God,” because Moses IS “God.” We all are, this is what Moses meant. This body is a shell, nothing — it is the “spirit” within that is real, is “God.” And it is us who have personified this thing called ”God” into a fiery-eyed one, separate from us — who supposedly loves us one minute, but is highly wrathed up about us the next.
The scene that really gets me in the gut is where they are eating the herbs and bread. Sitting there hearing (trying to ignore) the unnerving cries from a distance of the mothers and fathers watching their children die. One man in the house with Moses’ is singing! Yee-haw, rejoice — God’s green stuff is killing children! Good-gawd. And then the woman (mother of the Pharaoh, former mother of Moses) is pained by the cries and says, “They’re my people.” Another of Moses’ people leans over to her and says sweetly, “We’re all God’s people.” Uh. It’s okay, hon, God knows what he’s doing in killing those children. Geez.
When ya’ know it’s all symbolic, this movie is so much easier to watch — yet, at the same time, unnerving in the realization that so many of us believe this represents literal truth. Moses says that he cannot save the Pharaoh’s firstborn, that the Pharaoh brought it upon himself with HIS OWN WORDS. Not God’s words, but the Pharaoh’s own words. Meaning, we create our own reality. The Pharaoh wished this upon others, and since we are all God, he wished it upon himself… (”karma”)
All the children supposedly being killed by the green death-smoke — it wasn’t about death, it was about transformation. Again, symbolic. Interestingly, green is the color of the heart chakra, it’s about healing, it’s about love. We “die” to (become free of) our old selves when we heal our hearts, and we become something new (transformation, aka, “death”).
And the absurdity of this Pharaoh not letting the people go after Moses shows him some heady stuff from our “God” :) I mean, geez, he changed the water to frickin’ blood, even the container of water that the Pharaoh held. No water for seven days, then the three days of darkness, and that cool fiery hail ;) How stupid could the Pharaoh be to not give Moses whatever the hell he wanted, lol Not reality — it is all symbolic messages. The Pharaoh represents our fear, and how our fear has an irrational death-grip on us (”let my people go.”) And we allow our fear to have this hold on us — represented by Moses leaving each time.
It’s ALL about us, collectively, and individually. We are very much NOT “nothing,” we are God :) We are both Moses and the Pharaoh — it is fear, and only fear, that enslaves us. We need only to “worship” (love) and believe in the “God” that is within us, that is us. We need only to face the ”Pharaoh” (fear) within us and set ourselves free from it. Only then will we truly “know God” (love and trust our own hearts) and get to “heaven” (peace, and creating the blissful lives we desire).
*Yawn* It’s time to wake up, to snap out of the brainwashing, the fear, that has kept us as slaves. ”Fear not.” “There is NOTHING to fear, but fear itself.” (Pharaoh = Fear, Moses = Love, Freedom)
“Let my people go.”

Totem… “Wild Elephants and Hollow Cake”
February 26, 2008
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com I started this MS Paint pic a few days ago. The eye, I first thought was going to be a woman’s eye, but then became an elephant’s eye. I heard “elephant” as I was painting it. I primarily did the left half of the pic, and then put it aside. Then later saw the mention of elephant in another blog a couple of times and that spurred me to go back and finish this pic.
I’ve only been to a zoo once, I never want to go again. So sad. We cage these amazing animals, elephants and their giant hearts, so we can go for an hour or whatever and gawk at them. We essentially take their lives, their freedom, solely for this momentary high, to gawk at a chained elephant…and we somehow don’t see the insanity in that, the imbalance of it. These very human-like, very powerful creatures chained up…hmmm, perhaps we should look for the mirror in their eyes.
Peace,
Dove

Elephant Totem
Throughout history elephants have been prized for their power and strength. They are extremely intelligence and honored by many cultures. Elephants are the largest land animals and among the longest lived, with life spans of 60 years or more. According to Buddhist tradition, the Buddha chose the form of a white elephant as one of his many incarnations and the rare appearance of a white elephant is still heralded as a manifestation of the gods. The Hindu god Ganesh, the remover of obstacles, is depicted with the head of an elephant.
Despite their great weight elephants walk almost noiselessly. Their stride is exceptionally graceful and rhythmic. Their hearing, smell, taste and touch is acute. This compensates for their poor eyesight. Their eyes are small in relation to the enormous head, which can only turn slightly from side to side. This limited movement results in restricted side vision. Those with this medicine feel things deeply and respond to those feelings from a place of inner knowing. Because their peripheral vision is limited they have a tendency to look straight ahead and not always see what is around them. Learning to shift ones focus to encompass the whole is helpful.
Loyal and affectionate elephants are willing to risk their life for the sake of others in a family group. Wild elephants have been known to grieve and even shed tears over the death of a family member. They have excellent memories and when mistreated they often seek revenge.
Elephants have a total of four teeth, all molars. The first pair of molars is located toward the front of the mouth. When they wear down, they drop out and the two molars in the back shift forward. Two new molars emerge in the back of the mouth to replace those that have moved forward. Elephants replace back molars six times throughout their life. When the last set wear out, they are unable to chew and die of starvation.
Teeth have great symbolism. They are considered receivers and transmitters of energy linked by connecting paths throughout the astral body. Because the elephant is highly intelligent those with this totem make excellent researchers and alternative scientists. The complex study of numbers, energy meridians and the tie in between the physical brain, the teeth locations, and the major and minor head chakras is fascinating as well as beneficial.
Elephant tusks point backwards and are used as weapons and for digging edible roots. From a spiritual point of view this suggests an ability to uncover the secrets left behind you and bring them to the consciousness for evaluation and healing.
This beautiful creature hold the teachings of compassion, loyalty, strength, intelligence, discernment and power to name a few. If this is your medicine these virtues are a part of your natural character. By applying these gifts in your life soul evolution is achieved.

My Hero: Ty Pennington :)
February 11, 2008
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com Ty Pennington. I love this guy… the guy on that show called “Extreme Makeover,” one of the very few shows I find worthy of clicking on the “box.” This sweet guy (so sweet), with his spiked hair, and goofy-playful way, finds the most amazing people in this country, amazing people that aren’t doing so well — often that’s because they’ve followed their hearts in helping others. They’re always just really good people, very giving and loving people. And Ty, I love watching him while he talks to these people — ya’ can see his compassionate heart in those precious eyes.
And the houses they build are so incredible, such creative people building them. I’m watching it right now, they’re building a house for a marine who lost his leg “over there.” It was apparently too much for the marine’s wife and she left him — with four kids. The show just came on, and tears have already been streaming down my face (if ya’ have a hard time crying, this is the show to watch), and I already so wanna hug the marine. Yet another sweetheart, a guy with courage and honor, who loves his little ones so much.
Ty’s my hero, I wanna guy like Ty – and I’ve officially decided I’m never gonna settle for less :) Gotta go watch my sweetie ;)
Peace,

President Hillary … and Maya Angelou? :)
January 19, 2008
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com At the end of December, my Tarot cards strongly indicated that Hillary Clinton would be our next president.
As I stated in that post, I’m not at all political, and I often (very often) make choices that are greatly influenced by my, um, “intuition,” or “gut feeling,” if you like :) At the point that I drew the cards above, I was leaning more toward Obama based solely on what others had told me. Since then, I’ve listened to Hillary a few times. I like her :) I think she’s strong, and smart, and I think she’s genuine. A good person, and clearly very experienced… I now have no doubt that she would be a very good president, and I later said something to that effect in the comments of the above post. And that aligns with what the Tarot was saying, that she would do good things for our country as president. Lots of very positive cards came up in response to that question. I feel very good about her now, and she’s the one, as far as I’m concerned.
I was just now watching her on the Tyra Banks show (not a show I generally enjoy, but I watched to see Hillary). It was a nice interview. Again, I feel Hillary’s passion, her strength… I loved it when Tyra asked Hillary how she felt about Oprah Winfrey so strongly supporting Obama. Hillary responded with something like, “Well, ya’ know, I have a lot of fine people who are supporting me as well.” Tyra pushed the issue, being very kind and charming all the while.
This time, Hillary said, “Well, Maya Angelou is supporting me.” LOL! Oh-ma-gawd, I love that Maya is supporting Hillary. Maya is essentially Oprah’s “Mama” LOL! ;) As much as I admire Oprah, we all know she often goes to Maya for her wonderful wisdom. I’m with Maya, I’m with Hillary for our next president. And I very much believe she will be.
Oh, also I thought it was classy of Hillary to not immediately shoot back that Maya was supporting her. No, but when Tyra pushed the issue… And I love knowing that someone that Oprah greatly admires and loves, a mother-daughter type of relationship with Maya Angelou, and yet Maya is supporting Hillary Clinton for president … over an African-American.
That speaks volumes in my opinion. Maya is a wise woman, I love her, I greatly admire her. I don’t believe for a minute that she would support Hillary over the opportunity to have an African-American in the White House unless she felt Hillary was exceedingly worthy. In my view, she sees in Hillary, what I see. A strong woman, experienced and dedicated to the people, to doing the right thing, and someone who is fully capable of cleaning up the mess that this last one has made.
Yay, Hillary! … and Maya! :)
Peace,

The Power of Three and Vulnerable Eyes
January 5, 2008
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com I’ve been getting the number three like mad in the last 24 hours. It seems to be tied into the “celebrate” message I received from opening a book. In the Tarot, that message would be conveyed with the Three of Cups. What I didn’t mention in that post is that I “heard” some words before I opened the book, “pain, resurrection, peace…” And the book’s message seemed to align with those words. I didn’t wanna think about anymore pain, so I omitted mentioning that part. Just not a happy thought, that we’ve gotta move through the pain before we get to that wonderful peace.
Was feelin’ pretty blue today and wrote a lengthy rhyme about it on my “Write Off the Top of the Head” thread. Was “drawing” some cards just now online and drew a version of the Three of Swords, a card I invariably dread seeing. But this image really grabbed my heart. Oh-ma-gawd, those eyes — those are the kinda eyes I was talking about in my “Divine Eyes” post. Vulnerable eyes, so very vulnerable they are, we are, when we’re in pain.
I’m so proud of myself, I did some crying today :) and this card, this awesome image, it helped me to cry some more. And it wasn’t tears from my own pain, but that face, those eyes, so precious — it made me cry thinking of someone else hurting like that, so deeply…knowing how tired they are of it all, so frustrated by their own patterns, at a loss as to how to overcome them, how to heal them. And so they keep repeating them, continuing that sad cycle of pain, such a prison… I just wanna hug that heart so much.
I just can’t get over those eyes, I love that image. Here’s a link to it.

==============================================
And here are a couple of interpretations for the three….
========================================
Three: The spiritual meaning of number Three deals with magic, intuition, fecundity, and advantage. The number Three invokes expression, versatility, and pure joy of creativity. Three is also a time identifier as it represents Past, Present and future. Consecutive Three’s in your life may symbolize the need to express yourself creatively, or consider your present directional path in relation to your past events and future goals. Three’s may also represent promising new ventures, assurance of cooperation from others you may require help from, and Threes typically symbolize reward and success in most undertakings.

=====================================
Three (3)
The third dimension - we do things in threes so they will manifest in our physical realm.It’s roots stem from the meaning of multiplicity. Creative power; growth. Three is a moving forward of energy, overcoming duality, expression, manifestation and synthesis. Three is the first number to which the meaning “all” was given. It is The Triad, being the number of the whole as it contains the beginning, a middle and an end.
The power of three is universal and is the tripartide nature of the world as heaven, earth, and waters. It is human as body, soul and spirit. Notice the distinction that soul and spirit are not the same. They are not. Three is birth, life, death. It is the beginning, middle and end. Three is a complete cycle unto itself. It is past, present, future.
The symbol of three is the triangle. Three interwoven circles or triangles can represent the indissoluble unity of the three persons of the trinity. Others symbols using three are: trident, fleur-de-lis, trefoil, trisula, thunderbolt, and trigrams.
The astral or emotional body stays connected to the physically body for three days after death. There is scientific evidence that the brain, even when all other systems are failing takes three days to register complete shutdown.
There are 3 phases to the moon. Lunar animals are often depcited as 3 legged.
Three is the heavenly number, representing soul, as four represents body. Together the two equal seven (3+4=7 ) and form the sacred hebdomad. The 3×4=12 representing the signs of the Zodiac and months of the year.
Pythagorean three means completion.
There are three wishes, genies have three wishes, three leprecons, three prince or princesses, three witches, three weird sisters among others.

==========================================
{Dove: I started seeing the 3 everywhere (everywhere) last night, right after posting this comment on another’s blog… I was responding to the quote indicated, from another on that thread.}
===========================
No, we definitely don’t need religion, and certainly not the fear-based interpretations of that old book, and the mega-controlling systems that sprouted from them…
“God said ‘where three or more are gathered in my name, that is where my church is’.”
Me, Myself and I (am) = 3 ![]()
The Body/Heart, the Mind, the Spirit = 3
(”The Father, the Son, The Holy Ghost”)
The Earth, the Sun, the Sky/Air = 3
She, He, Love = 3
Paintbrush, Paint, Artist = 3
The 3 in the Tarot is the Empress, she’s about love and creativity (she adores Nature, animals, gardening, creating…she is the perfect “Mother”). She nurtures/loves things to life.
We are the Seed, the Garden, the Flower (3) ![]()
“Church,” “God,” “Love,” “Passion” “Joy” “Creative/Spiritual/Intuitive Energy” … “Everything,” is within us.
Peace,
Dove

Overwhelmed By Divine Eyes
December 30, 2007
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com I just had an epiphany ; ) I was looking at some pics of birds a moment ago. I adore birds, they’re so incredible… But for a nano-second I wasn’t seeing them with my usual fascination, and then it was back. And that was the moment I “got it.” When we feel a passion for something — I mean, it just rocks our world with joy, we’re seeing with “divine eyes.” That’s what came to me.
And maybe we have certain things that we naturally see with “divine eyes,” our “passion(s),” and maybe that’s one reason it’s so important for us to discover our passion. Because that spurs our “divine eyes,” and we begin to see other things with divine eyes. The sky, trees, sun, moon, the stars, clouds, rain, water, animals, birds, bees, flowers — people : )
It’s so easy though for me to feel overwhelmed by the beauty, the ”magic” of Nature….difficult for me to understand why others don’t seem to see it like I see it. Nature is so alive with “spirit,” it radiates with it…
But it’s a challenge to see it in people, people hide the “spirit” in them, they’re afraid of it, they deny it. But I’ve seen it in their eyes…when they’re being loving, or otherwise vulnerable, trusting. It’s those vulnerable, trusting eyes that make people lovable. And seeing those vulnerable eyes, looking at me, trusting, it’s as overwhelming to the heart as watching the flight of a bird or drinking in a stunning blue sky, or melting with love over the sweet face of a puppy : ) If people only knew how powerful, how precious, how beautiful and loveable they are in those moments when they have spirit in their eyes, when they’re being who/what they really are…maybe they would open them more often, and begin to see themselves, and the world more readily with divine eyes : )
Peace,
Dove
