Angelic Numerology … and 444
February 25, 2008
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com A day or so ago, this number, 444, came to me several times. It’s kind of an odd one for me to get… I’m pretty used to having periods of seeing 222 and 555 (and the 11:11 thing has long been common), but this is a new one for me. In googling for meanings on the 444, I found a few different interpretations, one indicated that it means “resurrection.” And that intrigues me because I did a post in January about how I had heard that word, “resurrection” in asking about this year. I was also getting the number 7 quite a bit the other day. I found the following list, and I like it because it gives a very simple interpretation for the numbers. A nice quickie reference to keep us thinking in the positive when we’re getting these little angelic number messages. Of course, we should always trust our own intuition and find our own meanings for any type of messages we receive. Even so, it’s a good rule of thumb to endeavor to look to the positive meanings…
Yay, I’m liking their take on both the 4 and the 7 :)
Peace,
Dove

Maple Leaves, Sevens…and Feng Shui
January 20, 2008
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com I was doing some organizing the day before yesterday and opened an old book, and to my surprise I found a maple leaf, and then another and another. Three maple leaves. I only vaguely recall putting them in there several years ago, while living in a wonderful rural area that I may have mentioned on here before. So, of course, coming upon such a thing has meaning :)
But I didn’t ponder that so much in that moment, was just wondering where to put them. Back in the book, maybe in a special box or something? I’ve been trying to hone up the Feng Shui in my apartment and I didn’t want any dead leaves to mess up the Prosperity or Relationship areas :) so I decided the Angel or “Helpful People” area would be safe. And there was a nice sunny spot on a little table there in which to place them. They looked kinda cute there :) So off I went about my business.
I glanced over at them again this morning and decided to find out the dream symbol meaning of the maple leaf in this here “dream” that is this life :) And here’s what I found…
======================
To see a maple leaf in your dream, represents each of the five senses and what it has to offer. It also denotes a helping or protective hand.
=======================
My favorite Feng Shui book is called “Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life,” written by a sharp, funny, and no-nonsense girl named Karen Rauch Carter. I’ve had her book for years. She calls it the “Helpful People and Travel” area. I often reference it as the “Angel Corner.” When you walk in the front door, it’s the corner of the whole house to your right. And what’s one tool she considers a “power tool” in this area? A picture of, or some other form of a hand, representing a helpful hand. My maple leaves, helpful hands :)
How cool is that. I’ve noticed before how I have just intuitively placed things in the appropriate area without knowing or conisidering that the energy of it is good in that particular area. I also found another site that said the maple leaf was a symbol of love. Hmm, that’s also wonderful and very synchronous. I’ve been getting the Tarot’s sweet Two of Cups a lot lately as well, a message of love and/or very harmonious interactions. So these are all very sweet messages for the “new beginnings” I’m currently moving toward…
So what a sweet thing that the Universe has given me with these lovely little pressed maple leaves for my Angel Corner :)
There seems to be a bit of heightened “magic” this morning. The Crow has visited me a couple of times this week, also this morning. He cawed 7 times, twice. I was lying in bed and I was thinking what an odd number of caws that was for my Crow baby ;) But it was very synchronous. Two of my French friends on here both mentioned the Chariot card (Tarot) to me in the last couple of days. The Chariot is one of the major arcana cards, number 7.
It’s a good card, and I think it speaks of victory, but I really need to use some of its “hard control” on myself to reach my goals. So off I go, to apply some of of that there “hard,” but balanced, self-discipline :)
Peace,
Dove

So How Do Ya’ Know What Your Animal “Totems” Are?
December 16, 2007
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com This is for my friend, CV :) … and anyone else who may be drawn to this topic.
Animal totems are spiritual animal guides. They bring messages to us via their symbolic presence. That is, if you synchronously see, and especially continue to see, or hear an animal or the name of an animal, there is a message in that. The best book, considered a classic, on this topic is called “Animal-Speak” by Ted Andrews. And here’s a link to a post I did not long ago that touches on this subject, Ramblings on Animal Totems and my Tarot story, “An Owl, a Crow, and a Nudge toward the Tarot” shares the moment when I became aware of my Owl totem.
They say we each have nine totems, and although I know my nine, I’ve long felt that I have many more. And the woman who read my aura (see my Tarot story), when she saw “sooo many animals” in my aura, I think that was a reflection of that. I recall reading how this aligns with shamans. And I don’t know if I am one, but many things in my life certainly align with that.
So how did I discover my totems? It wasn’t that long after I was nudged toward using the Tarot that I had a similar experience with animal totems. I was guided towards some cards called, “Medicine Cards” that came with a book (by Jamie Sams/David Carson). The very first time I shuffled these cards, I was very curious as to what card the Universe would most want to show me. It was the Owl card. This I already knew was one of my main nine totems, and the same with my Crow totem (see Tarot story). I mention in my above “ramblings” post how the owl had come to me, and how I mentioned in my Tarot story how I’d had dreams of owls as well, and then when she saw it in my aura, that was the final confirmation I needed on that one. With the crow, I can’t honestly remember how I knew that one, it was just something I knew. I had lived in a wonderful wooded area before all of this started, and lotsa crows were there. I liked them :) … and that’s a good indicator that a certain animal is one of your totems. There was also this one crow that used to “visit” us there. The wildest thing, it had one white feather. We called it “White Feather” :) But again, I don’t remember the actual point where I knew, I just knew. And that right there can be the totality of discovering one of your totems. And then it was especially nice when the aura reader saw the crow on my shoulder :)
I discovered the rest, the other seven main totems, through the Medicine Cards. In the book, it has a spread that you can do. Just do it one time, and it will show you your totems. I might not have embraced this except that I saw one of them during a meditation immediately before drawing this spread. As I began to meditate in preparation for doing this, I immediately saw the eyes of a wolf, directly in front of my eyes. I felt sure in that moment that this was one of my totems. After the meditation, I shuffled the cards and began to to lay them out. The second card was the wolf :) Ya’ gotta know, that was a thrill. I smiled as I drew the rest of the cards. Most of them were winged ones, which aligned with my owl and crow…and the name the Universe bestowed upon me a few years ago, “Dove.” :) I even had an intuitive once reference me as an “Earth Angel.” More wings ;) And that nudges me toward seeing birds and angels in the same light…
Further synchronicity with the totems I already knew and that I saw in the spread that day is that I’ve seen that my own personality and such align with many of the characertistics of these animals. It’s come to me that these animals actually recognize us on some level, that we actually have this energy, that it is a part of us, part of our spiritual energy. This is why we are drawn to them and they are drawn to us. We’re like their family :) Cool, eh?
I have had so many amazing experiences with the crow, it’s definitely a part of my heart. If there’s a crow around, you can bet my attention will immediately zero in on it. But birds in general thrill and captivate me. I think they’re absolutely phenomenal. Again, if you love a certain animal this much, that’s a very strong indicator that it is one of your totems. Additionally, if you feel/believe (intuit) that a certain animal is one of your totems, then it very likely is.
My life and health issues, my personality, my “challenges” are all reflected in these animals. It’s very beneficial to know one’s totems. For example, the hummingbird is one of mine. One day in reading about it in the “Animal-Speak” book, I noted how the hummingbird eats very often, it has to… It was around that point when I discovered my own blood sugar issues, and per this knowledge of the hummingbird, I began experimenting with eating every few hours. Doing so was life-changing for me — one of the best health-improving rituals I’ve adopted. Many of my totems are solitary ones, and this helps me to understand my own strong need for solitude…
Different people discover there totems in different ways. Besides using the cards, you can simply ask the Universe to show them to you and then wait and watch :) They might come to you in dreams, on television shows, books, magazines…through other people speaking of certain animals, etc. etc. Ultimately, trust your intuition in knowing them when they come :) Then get the book and read about them, you’ll see yourself in them… The more you’re open to them (respect/honor/enjoy, call upon them), the more you’ll see the “magic” in them, and in this way (among many) that the Universe speaks to us :)
Peace,
Dove

“Red Angel”
December 12, 2007
By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com Last nite my blog friend CV spurred me, with her mention of it, toward playing with my MS Paint program, which I hadn’t in a while. After painting this “Red Angel,” I got back on here, on my Phoenix “Rising” pic thread, and posted another comment to CV, noting that it had taken me about two hours to paint “her.”
It’s an interesting synchronicity with CV and I. Per the “like attracts like” and angel – see above-mentioned post/comment. We had talked about these things in another thread (“What Paranormal Creature Would You Be”) a bit ago.
I’m not generally all into the angel energy, so this very much intrigues me. And I felt so much joy as I started doing those “puffs of white” … a rush to see this angel coming through, especially her being Native American. Native American spirituality, I am very into. I love her :)

Paranormal Creature You Will Be After You Die :)
November 19, 2007
These quizzes, they always amaze me :) When I was first experiencing all this fun metaphysical stuff ;) I had so many cool things happening… One was with this guy I met, an acupuncturist. After first meeting, we talked for several hours — we had the metaphysical thing in common, which is wonderful when you can find that in others :)
I talked to him on the phone the next day and he had taken the liberty of asking an intuitive friend of his to do a reading on me. In hindsight, kind of control-freakish of him, but I didn’t mind — it was just another intriguing element in my new adventure :)
This woman said some “interesting” things about me…but this quiz brought to mind how she had told him that I was an “Earth Angel.” I’ve had other intuitive ones say similar things — one guy even told me he saw my heart, and “it was golden like Jesus’ heart.” Ahhh, that was so sweet, it brought tears. And he was a newbie to the metaphysical world just like I was at the time.
But I must say, although I do have a very sweet heart, I’m no saint (especially when I’m really pissed, lol) :) And I don’t wanna be. I think many of us “spiritual” ones make the mistake of trying to be… We need to allow ourselves to be human. Extremes are not a good thing. Let yourself be real, be human. You won’t have real peace until you can allow yourself that.
Anyway, I thought it was kinda cool that this quiz said I’d be an angel … I had a gorgeous unicorn calendar (more sexy than young-ish, heh) years ago — a few decades actually, and I still have one of the most beautiful pictures from it. I was looking at it recently :)
Peace,
Dove
