Yeehaw, Matt chose Shayne :)

By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com Well, I wrote this yesterday and kinda chickened out on publishing it, haha — but what the heck. This is me bein’ all “girlie” about one of them there reality TV shows ;) and rambling on about it like some people do about soap operas — which I generally find nauseating, lol But that’s just one of the multi-contradictory aspects of your lovely Libra peoples, heh-heh ;)
~*~*~*~
Okay, I admit it, I watched this particular Bachelor series all the way through. Hey, what can I say, I love love, cupid, sweetness and all that heart stuff ;) It’s a Libra thing.
Anyway, last night’s finale was a joy — I totally loved that Matt chose Shayne. The neighbors probably heard me whoopin’ it up (shouting, clapping and jumping up and down, lol) when it was clear that he was going to choose her over Chelsea.
I was worried at first, after he told his parents that he felt more passion for Chelsea — but that he felt more comfortable with Shayne. And Chelsea’s a tad more sophisticated, I s’pose, than Shayne. Matt said that Chelsea was everything he wanted in a woman. AND, then even his family said that their initial thoughts, upon seeing Shayne’s bleached blonde hair and all, were that Shayne didn’t seem like Matt’s type. I almost started to whine after all that (okay, I whined), because I liked Shayne so much better for Matt — and when I saw him last week proposing to someone, showing only the hand, I so felt like that was Shayne’s hand. And it was, yay! :)
Shayne is such a little sweetie. You could see the fear in her face right before he proposed, the fear of her possibly not being his choice. Unlike with Chelsea — I feel like Chelsea felt more confident that she was going to be the one Matt chose. It was also interesting how Chelsea reacted, understandably hurt, but then she verbally attacked Shane. She said something like Shayne was the “false-est person there.” I thought that was wild since I’d just been noticing her blatantly false eyelashes. Hmmm. Then, in the car, she calls Matt a fool.
Matt finally saw a truer picture of her in those moments. I think she was trying to be what she felt Matt wanted. I mean, she wasn’t the same person with the other women in private that she was with Matt. Shayne was.
And on that note, one that really stands out was the African-American girl. OMG, she so shifted herself when she was with Matt, lol. Ya’ think she would have said that little ditty, “Walk off, walk off…” and acted in that combative way in front of him? Nah, don’t think so. She was a little princess in front of him, heh I felt like he so didn’t see the real her. In fact, I don’t think she sees the real her — she thinks it’s just a “big personality” I think she called it, lol Well, alrighty then. And I don’t get it, those women (especially that one, Robin?) who were rude and treating it like any ole competition. And not one of those women lasted that long — and I don’t believe Shane ever did anything like that. It makes ya’ wonder why they didn’t ask themselves why this awesome guy (or anyone) would want someone who was rude and pushy (desperate) like that? Verrrry attractive, eh?
But back to the two finalists… In trying to imagine how Shayne would have reacted if she’d been the one rejected, I can’t imagine her acting the same as Chelsea did – at all. I think she would have simply been totally broken-hearted… I think Chelsea’s assessment of Shayne (that “false-est” thing) was based purely on the physical, her bleached hair and Hollywood-ness. In reflecting back, it seems Shayne was one of the few who didn’t throw herself at Matt (or give him her frickin’ underwear, guh), as well as one who was level-headed and more toward peace-making behind the scenes.
Shayne is surprisingly sharp, even wise, especially for her young age (22), and impressively athletic. At the same time, very child-like in a good way, genuine, kind-hearted, loving and sweet. None of which I would have suspected at first glance, I’m amazed I liked her…a lesson in how ya’ judge a book and all :)
And, oh-ma-gawd, that gift Shayne gave to Matt — that was sooo wonderful, so thoughtful, so creative. I loved it. A beautiful picture, a picture of Shayne drawing “I love you” in the sand at the beach. She so put herself out there, so trusting, sweet and loving. Yet she seems to have this strength and wisdom. I can’t help but feel she’s a Libra :) or she has that influence strong in her chart. A phrase that’s used about Libra’s comes to mind, “An iron hand in a velvet glove.” It’s that contradictory velvet glove thing that throws everyone off with we Libra’s, heh ;)
I think Matt made the right choice – what an adorable, sweet loving couple they make. Gotta love that — especially if you’re a Libra ;)
Peace,
Dove
