By Dove, www.TarotwithLove.com  I was just reading an old post I did on a book that I feel everyone should read — that is, those who are so very tired of being on a hamster wheel that never gets them to where they wish to be, wondering where’s the happiness, the freedom…   It’s called “The Paradigm Conspiracy.”  My previous post includes an overview of the book (note, the bolded areas were my doing).

As I was reading over this overview, thoughts came up about a blog I was frequenting on here a while back — trying to tweak the minds of a group of rabid skeptics.  I was sharing a few of my experiences with them, particularly with the Tarot.  Of course, it mattered not that they had zero experience in this regard (and I’ve now spent about a decade almost incessantly using the Tarot), they still scoffed at the prospect that what I spoke was the truth.  Since they’d already warmed up to me a bit, they first tried to be charitable and suggested that I was imagining all of this (heh), but it was clear that if that wasn’t it, dishonesty had to be.

I tried to not let it annoy me — I s’pose I asked for it by sharing such things with people who believe nothing that their science tells them they shouldn’t believe.  I remember posting my Edison post (where people mocked Edison — scientists, and other lofty ones) on that thread, and there was a brief pause … then one of them came back with something like, “Yeah, but those Edison things could be proved by science.”  At that point, I moved on, because it was clear their minds weren’t budging — but I was like, huh?  Then, why were highly regarded scientists among those who scoffed at and mocked Edison? …

My next thoughts were about a guy in my past.  My cards have actually referenced him as a “fool” (several times) in the negative sense (but there is also a positive take on the fool in the Tarot).  The way he thinks boggles my mind, but I don’t think he’s that much different than many — thinking that “success” is all about how much money you can make.  And so this guy is consumed by his work.  He sees no other way to become his version of a success.  I remember a few years ago when he started working this job, I told him that it was a prison, that it wasn’t worthy of losing his health over.  I heard from him recently — he said he’d been in the hospital a couple of times recently per lack of sleep…   What he doesn’t seem to get is that the present dictates the future.  If it isn’t balanced, the future won’t be.  If you’re not happy in the present, you won’t be in the future either.  The thing is, you can do something in the present that might not be all that you wish for, BUT you must BALANCE it with what you do want.  That is, some energy MUST be put towards what you do want.  If you are currently neglecting and abusing your body for some pay-off in the future, there’s no balance in that — so stay tuned for a messed up body in the future.  But hey, you’ll have lotsa money to go to the hospital and docs a lot…

It’s insanity.  Our bodies, our health, are PRICELESS.  Ya’ can’t go out and buy a new body — NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE.  Ask someone who has no sight, but lotsa money what they’d pay for the gift of sight.  Someone with no legs what they’d pay to have them back?  …  And yet so many of us sacrifice our lives, our health, so as to make money — to buy STUFF.  Geez.

Actually it isn’t insanity, or even stupidity (usually), it’s what the above-mentioned book speaks of.  A kind of brainwashing via “paradigms.”  And I would add that we keep doing this over and over, because the promise of what it supposedly brings (happiness, or even real security, per money/power), never actually happens — but we think (per the paradigms) that it will if we just work a little more, a little harder…  And then maybe ya’ get “there,” but all you discover is that you’ve been a fool…you’ve been duped into sacrificing your precious body, life, health, TRUE HAPPINESS…for a pile of green paper, a false sense of security/safety, a mountain of material stuff that’s momentarily gratifying but ultimately suffocating, and an illusion of power…  All you truly have in those things is NOTHING, but you’ve lost so much in this FINITE life…

It’s time to “wake up.”  And this book is a good place to start :)  Read the overview of the “The Paradigm Conspiracy” here.  And then also realize that you ARE the power, it’s all about what you believe… And it will be those who are endeavoring to overcome the brainwashing that will truly be powerful in the future, not those who continue to put their total focus and efforts in the outer world, all the while destroying their bodies, and consequently dishonoring the real power — within them.

Peace,
Dove

    Hi Dove,
Thinking lately about past-future and the connection…saw this line in your post “present dictates the future and find it to be so true.

I feel like I was speaking to my “future” self years ago when making decisions (which were then in the present). And looking back, I fell compelled to say “thank you” to my past self for “seeing” the future. The spiral or circle continues for me.

    Thanks for this post!

    Hi Susan

You’re lucky that your past self was that wise :) Mine wasn’t so much, lol ;) Well, she was wise about some things — but really it’s not always so much about wisdom. Much of our potent manifesting energy comes from traumas, and consequent patterns, created from childhood. And we just keep going ’round and ’round with it in our adulthood…

The thing is, we’re all in that circle, there’s no escaping it — our only option is to change the energy of it, change ourselves. Many (likely most) of us are presently “at war” within. We’re trying to “wake up,” but that old stuff keeps hangin’ on like a pit bull ;) And that’s why our world is so shaky right now (we are the world). It makes us seem and act kinda wacky at times, lol Like a baby chick that’s just cracked its shell, peeking out at a whole new world, saying, “What the hell?” lol ;) “I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that strange new world out there, I wanna stay in here.” Alas, that’s not an option — it’s do or die. We’re changing in a big way, and there’s no going back. We might wanna ready ourselves for a world without, um, our old “shell” :)

I wholeheartedly agree with the idea of putting energy towards what you WANT now, even if it’s just a little bit. The best way I know how to procrastinate is to wait until you can devote your full attention to something before you do it. It’s gotten me in some pickles before until I finally realized that life is about making small steps towards what you want, not dreaming about a day when it’ll magically appear in front of you.

Oh, and sorry to pop in out of nowhere, I was trying to find and old twin flame blog on google and stumbled onto yours and was pulled in by the whole tarot thing.

    Hi James

Thanks for stopping by. Indeed, I’ve been in those “pickles” myself, many times unfortunately, lol And I’m still trying to learn the small steps thing. When I look back at my life (a very atypical one), it invariably has been my doing nothing (for the very reason you mention) to taking these mega, heart-rocking leaps, one extreme to the other. It’s a Libra thing ;)

But yeah, “baby steps” is the healthier, more effective, and more sane way, lol

I’m not sure if we’re speaking of the same “energy” here though. We need both the energy of the “dreaming” and the energy of the practical effort toward the goal. Both are generally essential. And I say “generally,” because it’s really about the energy of our beliefs. Note, fortune does sometimes come knocking at the doors of couch potatoes (heh), lottery winners, and other believers of magic ;)

But if we believe it takes a lot of work (most of us do), then we either change that belief (quite the challenge) or we dang well better get to workin’ … again, it’s all about what we believe. The “energy” of what we believe.

The Universe or “God” or Nature or whatever, responds to our energy (thoughts/beliefs/emotions/intentions). It creates what we seem to be “wishing” for (”dreaming about”). And this is why there “is nothing to fear, but fear.” It takes little effort to create that which we fear, no? Because when we fear, we generally do it in a big way (powerful energy). We continally think about what we fear, wringin’ our hands, playing it over in our minds, FEELING that fear potently…and “poof,” like “magic” :) it happens, and what do we say then? “Ya’ see, I knew that was going to happen?” :) Beliefs.

It’s all about our “energy.” We are indeed magical ones. We just need to begin to create with joy, and get over our incessant manifesting with fear. Feel the joy of having what we desire, FEEL it in our hearts, regularly. Believe it will happen (just like we believe the fearful things will happen)…and yeah, make the effort to make it happen, because we must do what we BELIEVE we must do.

With all of that said, the reason we must do in the present what we wish to have in the future is for the same reason. The Universe will look at what we’re doing/thinking/feeling (our energy) and this is the only way it knows what we want (it thinks we do what brings us joy — silly Universe, lol).

The Universe figures if that’s what we’re doing and thinking about, then that’s what we want. Poof, that creates more of that :) Working your ass off, ya’ like that? Okay, here’s some more work for ya’ ’cause ya’ like it so much ;) … No time for love or fun? Okay, poof, more things for you to be busying yourself with, so you have your “desire” — no time for love or fun.

“Oh, wait a minute,” says the Universe ;) “I think I see her actually spending money on something fun, rather than being so spend-thrifty (lol), okay, well then, poof, here’s some more money to spend on fun!” lol ;) Note, it only works that way when you’re spending with “faith,” not with fear…

I know, I can be so silly :) … but I hope I’ve made my point. It truly is all about what we “believe” and what we believe is simply about our emotional/mental energy. That is, it is about our thoughts fueled by our powerful emotions. Once we get that, we can make some very cool things happen :)

And note, it’s “Believe and it shall be so,” not “Believe, work your ass off, and it shall be so.” LOL ;)

    Peace,
    Dove

You really are psychic, cause you have no idea how much I needed to hear that right now. lol

I agree with you wholeheartedly (I think, I’ll have to re-read it a couple of times to be sure) on my first reading.

I believe in the power of the mind (which is essentially what you are getting at) and that what you focus on will determine your outcomes. In my own experience, I have a habit of latching onto an idea and obsessing over it, analyzing it from every viewpoint. And what I’ve found is that the more I look at the “idea” at hand, the more the solution I am looking for begins to present itself. And it’s not at all from the analyzing that the solution presents itself, but rather the focus that I put on the solution that brings about the desired result.

If that makes any sense. ;)

But yeah, I like how you put all of that and it definately has been helpful to me and what I am facing right now. So thanks.
