Create Change with Your Creations
August 28, 2007
I noticed several one-line phrases spoken to me this morning. Some of them put kinda indirectly to me. This is one of many ways the Universe speaks to us. Words, phrases and such from others.
This one statement grabbed me while walking passed one of the managers here. He wasn’t speaking to me, but this statement came out of his mouth just as he was facing me in passing.
“Yep, things change, things can change pretty quickly.”
Something along those lines, with an emphasis on “change.” And that’s an apropos message for me at this time, and one that my Tarot cards spoke of this morning as well…an ongoing message that I’ve been getting in a variety of ways. And I keep drawing aces, lots and lots of aces. I’ve drawn them one right after another, it’s wild… Aces are like seeds, they represent potential and new beginnings.
Here are some statements spoken directly to me this morning. I took notice of them, because this was essentially all that was said, and most of them were from people that have never spoken to me before.
“Oh, I didn’t know you were there.” (While I was outside, under a tree, on a break)
“Ah, I didn’t see you there.” (desk is in a corner where most don’t look upon entering)
“You’re too quiet.” (he’s never spoken to me before, but he’s in here all the time…)
“You’d better hurry.” (I was outside, walking back from a quick sunshine break.)
”No Fear” … (a company on my ID screen here at work, right after regretting a post I’d made)
Another lil message on my ID screen (receptionist) … A company came up on the ID screen that started with “Artistic” I got that one immediately upon thinking about playing on the paint program on here. I love color… I love writing, painting/drawing, photography. It is fun to create :) But I rarely allow myself the time to do so.
So maybe the Universe thinks I’m being “too quiet” with regard to expressing myself creatively. Maybe our creations are more important than we know, even those little doodles that we surely feel are so insignificant. But maybe our creations, big and small, are significant…maybe they heal us and the world somehow.
The Empress card in the Tarot comes to mind. She’s all about creativity and fertility, often the woman on this card appears to be with child, but she’s not just about creating babies, she represents all types of creativity. She’s also about love and nurturing. I think our creating nurtures us. But it’s gotta be the right creating for us, and the joy of it is how ya’ know. For some, it’s creating a child, for others it’s a painting, a garden, an essay or a cake :)
Creating creates joy within us. We nurture our seed to life while the creating nurtures us, and sometimes our creation clearly nurtures others. But even if our creation inspires no one else, the joy of it heals us. And if it heals us, then it heals the world.
Here’s one of my older doodlings :) … a drawing that I like to call a painting :) that I did with those little pastelle wands. It calls itself “Portal on a Cloudy Day” I love the healing colors — sweet green and cool blue swirling an opening to the magic of a cloudy day :)

Beautiful. This picture reminds me of what Jung would have called my “big dream” that I had once.
I’d love to spend a day paying attention to the symbolism behind phrases I catch through the day.
Yesterday S and I were out for a walk and we passed right by a Queen of clubs upturned on the ground. Then we saw a four of hearts, I think it was. And there was one more card face down. I didn’t turn it over.

I take great delight in your wonderful post. You write so well and straight from the heart. Keep it up, gal. :)

Thanks K :) Wow, that’s wild just coming upon cards like that! Ah, ya’ have to know there’s meaning in that for you. I can’t remember if you’re into it, but playing cards correspond with the Tarot.
The queen of clubs, that’s the queen of wands. The four of hearts is the four of cups. Wands are about our “fire,” our creativity, sexuality, and also about work. Here’s one interpretation for her, from a great site on Tarot, http://www.learntarot.com
Attractive
is appealing and popular
creates a powerful first impression
makes friends easily
has great sex appeal
is warm and outgoing
Wholehearted
is loaded with enthusiasm
tackles a task with total dedication
gives the utmost in any situation
is open and sincere
doesn’t hold anything back
Energetic
leads a busy and active life
is vigorous and strong
radiates health and vitality
has an inner vibrancy
is a natural athlete
Cheerful
is optimistic and upbeat
has an encouraging word for all
brightens whatever room he or she is in
has a warm and sunny disposition
can shake off the blues easily
Self-Assured
quietly demonstrates self-confidence
handles any situation with aplomb
can’t be easily rattled or provoked
is spontaneous and gracious in defeat
has faith in his or her abilities
The four of cups, it can be a positive card at times, but I never seem to see it that way. I always see someone that’s dissatisfied or bored with something, or disappointed in it…or maybe has an opportunity that they’re ignoring.
Here’s that same site’s meaning on the four of cups:
being self-absorbed
concentrating on your own feelings
wanting for yourself
being unaware of others
giving out little
withholding affection
seeing only your point of view
ignoring gifts and blessings
feeling apathetic
passively accepting
losing interest
feeling disengaged
making little effort
finding life stale and flat
lacking motivation
feeling little desire
going within
being introspective
meditating
dreaming
contemplating
pausing to reflect
getting lost in reverie
withdrawing from involvement
losing outer awareness
So you can see the variety of meanings that those cards could have been trying to convey to you. Interesting that you mentioned the dream and this card can represent dreaming :)
You didn’t turn the one card over…I’m wondering if that’s because you didn’t see any real significance in the cards or that you did, and you simply had a fear of what it might show you. Sometimes I don’t ask certain questions of the cards, ’cause I don’t wanna know, ya’ know? :)

Dovelove,
The art is fantastic! It reminds me of spiraling within ourselves to find truth. The spiraling of women’s wisdom, how we go over the same ground but in a fresh way upon each turn.
I saw your comment left over at deconversion.com and it was kind of lost in the bickering going on over there, but I found your comment compelling! So I thought I’d wander over. Your blog is a refreshing find!
I love tarot also.

The first time I posted I forgot to say how much I liked the image too. When viewing it I was immediately reminded of this:
Circles (Author Unknown)
We are circles, in circles
Brushing and touching
Reaching and breaching
Our narrow confines
Giving and needing
Following, leading
Calling and heeding
Reciting our lines

Hi MOI
Thanks… The spiral, and the circle, they do seem very significant. When I was first “awakened” to all of this, I had a lot of visions. Not sure why I don’t still have them like at the onset, but I’m assuming maybe because the “healing years” began shortly thereafter, that “Frodo’s journey” thing…that I’m hoping I’m just almost done with :) And then on to bigger and better “magic” ;) But during the healing, I think maybe all the blecky stuff comes up and maybe that mucks things up for a while… Also in the beginning, man, you’re just so wide-eyed about everything, it’s all fresh and new, amazingly exciting, ya’ can’t help but create magic with that :)
Anyway, one of the visions (mind’s eye) that came to me one day was a hand holding a sparkler, then the sparkler vanished, the hand opened, and there was a spiral on the palm of the hand :) Maybe symbolic of healing? The sparkler, that makes me think of freedom — definitely one of my “things.”
It’s interesting that you should post on this, Moi, ’cause that post you’re referencing is the one I was regretting :) Since no one responded to it, I thought I’d wasted my time. But getting the “no fear” message just as I was regretting the post…and then your mention and appreciation of it spurred me to go back and post again :) I try to remind myself that there are others, who never post, but they still read and may possibly be inspired by it. Helping to free people from the grips of the wicked fear per those twisted religious beliefs is my inspiration…”let my people go” and all :) I remember that fear myself, it’s no way to live.
Thanks again, BF, I like that “circles in circles” Nice :)

Oh, even more interesting… I hadn’t seen your response to my new post over there until just now, right after posting this above. And there you are mentioning my main point here…freedom! :) Right on, per what you said in that post :)
